When I invited fellow foodies to cook healthy, yummy dishes for the ‘WWC – Quinoa for dinner’ event, part of the Wholesome Whole grain cooking event by Sanjeeta, I was sure to get a variety of entries, and I guessed right. 🙂 We have recipes ranging from starters to desserts. Thanks to everyone who participated and came up with innovative delicious entries.
Here are the entries:
#1 – Tomato Quinoa by Latha of ‘A peek into my kitchen’. This would make a lovely lunchbox dish.
#2 – Quinoa kichidi, by Priya of Now Serving, an innovative dish where she has made use of veggie puree in place of water for cooking the quinoa.
#3 – Vijitha of Spices n Aroma sends quick and easy idlies – Instant Quinoa, Ragi and Oats Idly
#4 -My friend Krithi of ‘Krithi’s kitchen’, made a dish suitable for breakfast and dinner – Savory Quinoa Pancakes, a perfect dish when you crave breakfast for dinner.
#5 – Smitha of ‘Smitha’s Spicy Flavors’, has made a quinoa dish suitable of serving to the Gods – Parama Quinoa
#6 – Akheela of ‘TorviewToronto’ has sent in a colorful Quinoa with vegetables
#7 – Sadhana of ‘Sensible Veg’ has sent in two entries: Quinoa Peas Pilaf, which she served with Paneer Makhani to make a complete meal.
#8 – She has also sent in Quinoa Kichidi, made even more wholesome by the addition of moong dal and veggies.
#9 – Madhusmita of ‘RedSpice’ has sent in Quinoa Upma, with the colorful addition of bell peppers.
#10 – Priya of ‘Priya’s Easy and Tasty Recipes’ has sent in the following four entries. A warming Quinoa, Toordal and Tomato soup, perfect for a cold rainy day.
#11 – Quinoa and Mixed dals dosa, adding dals to the already protien rich quinoa to offer a nutritious dinner.
#12 – Ragi Quinoa Methi Paratha, where Priya made her own blend of multigrain flours to make a healthy paratha.
#13 – Mixed Veggies Quinoa soup, packed with the vitamins from the veggies and protein from the quinoa, a healthy dinner idea.
#14 – And, finally my entries: Quinoa dosa, crispy dosas to serve for dinner.
#16 – Another dosa variety, this one with flax and brown rice, in the form of a Multi grain oothappam
#17 – And, if you would like to make a quick healthy dessert, layer up my Home made granola with oats, flax and quinoa, with some yogurt as a parfait like here.
#18. And, for a quick side dish: Baked Stuffed Okra
